Stable Kierzbuń was set based on an old warmian land possession. At this moment house is listed in the relicts registry of our voivodenship as an example of a small village residence.
Its history lasts since XIV century. In 1378 year a knight called Bartolomeus von Kirschbaum received in location act ca. 1000 wlokes of wild woody terrains. Bartolomeus before his death shared the possesion between his sons and from his name was called bartolty Bigger and Smaller and from his surname -Kierzbuń. Bartolomeus was also obligated to build a church in Bartołty Greater.
Settlement was comming from hands to hands. Those who are interested we invite for a longer talk. In the end of XIX century belonged to the family ZIELAZKOWSKICH, which wass known from helping january's rising man.
Next owner on the beginning of XX century was Kurt GRODDECK, german officer. He was growing cattle and horses, using also brewery. He had central heating in house, and were employing about 50 agrual workers, had beatu park and pond i which he was swimming (probably naked...). The War came, Groddeck run to Germany, and Kierzbuń like many other possesions – became PGR... It is hard to write about all devastations during that time!
And just before XXI century we become in Kierzbun Ciesielscy... People from the centre of Poznan. We left Poznan in 1987, when we got married and with parents settle in warmian village. In Olsztyn we have accomplished studies, and after year, on the 22nd of December 1994 we settled in Kierzbun, then wild diamond.
We are making from it real brilliant. The possibilities we will have for all our life!
